Carrie Lynch Smith
December 31, 1959 – August 13, 2025

Carrie Lynch Smith, 65, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 31, 1959, in Trenton, New Jersey, Carrie’s life was defined by her hard work, her caring nature, and her ability to make friends wherever she went. She truly never met a stranger.

Carrie’s passions in life were simple yet rich: good food, great company, and any reason to celebrate. An enthusiastic cook and an avid traveler, she embraced life’s adventures with an open heart and an open table. Whether preparing a family feast, exploring new destinations, or gathering loved ones for a holiday or just-because get-together, Carrie created moments that became cherished memories for all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Trevor McCormick; her daughter, Alisha Smith, and Alisha’s wife, Sara; her son, Bradley Smith, and his wife, Larkin; and her treasured grandson, Hawkins Smith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warmth, generosity, and zest for life.

A visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. followed by an 11:00a.m. memorial service will be held on August 23, 2025 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Home at 7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, in Savannah. A Celebration of Life will take place in the coming months so that friends and family can gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Savannah or the American Cancer Society in Carrie’s memory, helping continue the fight against the disease she so bravely faced.

Carrie’s family wishes to thank all who have supported them during this time and encourages everyone to live as she did, with love, laughter, and a readiness to celebrate life’s blessings.
